This Universal Motor Controller plugs in to most new/modern Whirlpool brand (Whirlpool, Amana, Roper, Kenmore, etc) washing machines to convert them into salad spinners (If you're not sure if it will work with your model contact me directly first!). Each controller features a 110v plug and a wire harness with terminal ends fitted to attach to the washing machine motor and to the run capacitor. The timer control box mounts to the front of the washer with self-drilling sheet metal screws. Turning the timer knob bypasses the washer's built in controls and sets the washer going in the spin cycle - the centrifugal force drys out baby salad greens like mesclun, arugula and spinach.

Some background info: For years you could buy any old washing machine and turn the old-style knob to SPIN and the machine would start running in the spin cycle. The spin cycle is useful not just for drying clothes, but for spinning/draining the water out of freshly washed greens! The drier the greens the longer the shelf life when delivered to a customer. Modern washing machines however are now loaded with electronics, and you can no longer simply turn a knob or push a button to get the motor to spin on demand. It has become necessary to rewire the washers to get them to behave the way you need. It is possible to do this job on your own, especially if you have some experience with electrical work and can read a wiring schematic, but the Universal Washing Machine Motor Controller bypasses these steps so that you can just plug it in and get spinning.

Features: The timer has up to a 5-minute cycle, and hold position that acts as an on/off switch.
